The Apache Alligator Rivet Lacing Tool 7” is an indispensable tool for anyone who frequently splices conveyor or drive belts up to 7 inches wide using Alligator Rivet Belt Fasteners. This heavy-duty, field-portable lacing tool is designed to precisely align the belt and securely set the rivets for a strong, long-lasting splice. Its robust construction provides the leverage needed to compress the lacing hooks and drive the rivets without requiring a bulky shop press. The resulting joint is highly dependable, non-magnetic, and features a low-profile design that minimizes noise and wear as it passes over pulleys.

Before using this tool, make sure the end of your belt is cut perfectly square and straight; a crooked cut will result in a weak, misaligned splice that fails quickly. After inserting the lacing and before driving the rivets, use a small clamp on either side of the joint to keep the lacing perfectly perpendicular to the belt edge. This ensures every rivet is driven correctly and the finished splice runs true on your pulley system.
