Aerators & Dethatchers
Lawn aeration and dethatching are two of the most overlooked steps in lawn care — and two of the most effective things you can do for a thin, compacted, or struggling lawn. A spike drum aerator breaks through compacted soil to let water, air, and fertilizer reach the root zone where they actually do some good. A tow-behind dethatcher pulls up the layer of dead grass and organic buildup that blocks sunlight and water from reaching the soil. In Missouri’s clay-heavy soils, aerating in fall before overseeding makes a noticeable difference in how well new grass establishes and how the lawn comes back in spring.
