The right horse bit is one of the most important pieces of tack a rider chooses — it directly affects how clearly and comfortably you communicate with your horse. Snaffle bits work well for young horses and horses still in training, while curb bits, gag bits, and chain bits give experienced riders more leverage and refinement for finished horses.
