Every year, as soon as the November air turns crisp, we clear out the parking lot to make room for a Nixa tradition. For decades, our tree lot has been the go-to spot for families across the Ozarks to find a real, farm-fresh centerpiece for their holiday home. We only run the lot during November and December, and we work hard to make sure it’s the friendliest, easiest place for you to pick out your live Christmas trees and get them home safely.
Our Neighborly Promise: We only stock #1 quality live Christmas trees shipped straight from the farm. We water them every single morning they’re with us, and we give every tree a fresh-cut stump right before you load it up. That way, your tree stays green and smelling great all the way to Christmas morning.

Picking Your Perfect Tree: Sizes, Varieties, and Services
Whether you need a little 5-foot tree for the corner or a 12-foot “showstopper” for a vaulted ceiling, we’ve got you covered. We carry the varieties folks in Missouri love most:
- Firs: Fraser, Noble, Douglas, and Balsam (for that classic holiday scent).
- Pines: Traditional Scotch Pines with sturdy branches.
The best part? You don’t have to wrestle with the stump yourself. We’ll stand and fit your tree to a stand right here (and if you don’t have a stand, we’ve got the good ones in stock).
| Tree Variety | Needle Softness | Best Feature | Scent Strength |
| Fraser Fir | Very Soft | Strong branches for heavy ornaments | Mild & Pleasant |
| Noble Fir | Stiff/Sturdy | Beautiful blue-green color; very “neat” look | Subtle |
| Douglas Fir | Soft | Full, bushy shape that fills a room | Sweet & Fruity |
| Balsam Fir | Soft | The “Classic” Christmas Tree fragrance | Strongest |
| Scotch Pine | Stiff | Exceptional needle retention (stays green longer) | Long-lasting |

Pro-Tips: Keeping Your Tree Fresh All Season
A real Christmas tree is a living thing, and it needs a little neighborly care to stay vibrant from Thanksgiving through New Year’s. Here is how we recommend looking after your tree once you leave our lot:
- Hydrate Immediately: We give your tree a fresh cut at the lot to open up the “pores.” Try to get it into water within an hour of getting home. If the stump dries over, it will seal shut and won’t be able to drink.
- Check the Water Daily: Real trees are thirsty, especially in the first week. A typical Christmas tree can drink a gallon of water a day! Make sure the water level never drops below the base of the stump.
- Keep it Cool: To prevent the needles from drying out early, try to position your tree away from heat vents, fireplaces, or direct afternoon sunlight.
- Use the Right Stand: A sturdy stand with a large water reservoir is your best friend. If your old one is looking a bit rusty or small, we have heavy-duty replacements in the shop that are built to last.
Our selection changes daily in November & December and live Christmas trees are subject to prior sale. Give us a call at the store at 417-725-3512 to check current availability before you head over!
