The Kwikset latch comes with three faceplate options, including the round corner, which is excellent for covering pre-existing edge cutouts. Use the longest possible screws when securing the strike plate to the door jamb (at least 3 inches) to penetrate the door frame stud—this is a simple, yet highly effective, way to reinforce a standard interior door.
