When installing this anchor, insert a long, sturdy bar or a heavy screwdriver through the eyelet and use both hands to turn the auger, keeping the rod vertical until the eyelet is flush with the ground. To maximize holding strength, always install the auger at a slight angle away from the direction of the expected pull (i.e., angle it away from the tent being secured). Before applying the final load, test the anchor’s security by giving it a strong tug to ensure it is fully seated in the soil.
