Plant Pots

Container gardening starts with the pot, and the wrong one makes more work than it’s worth. Poor drainage, roots bound up by midsummer, or materials that crack after the first hard freeze. Clay, ceramic, plastic, and metal each behave differently depending on sun exposure, watering habits, and where the container lives.
