When installing this chain, ensure that your drive and driven sprockets are properly aligned; even slight misalignment will dramatically reduce the life of the chain and potentially cause mechanical failure. After installation, make sure you maintain about 1/2 inch to 1 inch of total slack for every foot of distance between sprocket centers. Too much tension will cause rapid wear on the bearings and chain, and too little can cause the chain to jump the sprocket. Use a quality chain lubricant regularly, not just once, to keep it clean and running smoothly.
