Designed to slide neatly into the center groove of your Apimaye hive, this board acts as a solid physical barrier while offering adjustable, controlled pathways between two sides. The gates are the key feature; they allow you to slowly introduce pheromones before physically merging two groups of bees, which drastically reduces fighting and ensures a higher success rate when uniting. It feels sturdy and is a clean, practical way to create a temporary nuc or safely join two small colonies, making advanced hive management much less stressful for both you and your bees.

When using this board to unite two colonies, it is best to first ensure that only one of the two sides contains a laying queen; eliminate the weaker or older queen before starting the process. Start with the circular gates closed to avoid fighting, then rotate them to the small slots to allow for pheromone sharing for a few days. Finally, open the large slots for full bee access. Remember, for the board to slide in completely, you must first remove the pollen trap assembly from the screened bottom board to give the division board room to sit flush.
