The Bonide Captain Jack’s BT Bacillus Thuringiensis Organic Worm & Caterpillar RTU Spray 32 oz is a powerful, yet naturally derived insecticide approved for organic gardening. This Ready-to-Use (RTU) liquid utilizes Bacillus thuringiensis (BT), a naturally occurring bacterium that specifically targets and kills destructive leaf-eating worms and caterpillars, including hornworms and cabbage loopers. Crucially, it works by ingestion, meaning it does not harm beneficial insects like bees and ladybugs, birds, or earthworms. This 32-ounce trigger spray is convenient, requires no mixing, and can be applied right up to the day of harvest on fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals.

This product must be consumed by the pest to be effective. For the best results, apply the spray thoroughly to both the top and undersides of the leaves where worms are actively feeding. Since BT breaks down naturally under UV light, reapply every 5 to 7 days and after any heavy rain to maintain protection. The product is most effective when caterpillars are small; they must be actively feeding on the treated foliage to ingest the material.
