For maximum safety, always use wheel chocks in pairs on both sides of the tire, and place them on the downhill side of the wheels if the vehicle is on a slope. If you are jacking up a vehicle to change a tire, ensure the wheels on the opposite axle are chocked to prevent the vehicle from shifting off the jack. Periodically inspect the rope handle for signs of fraying or UV damage to ensure it remains strong enough for easy removal. While these chocks are highly effective, they are intended for use on hard surfaces; if you are parking on soft sand or thick mud, placing a flat board under the chock can prevent it from sinking and losing its effectiveness.
