Durvet Chlorhexidine 2% Solution is a topical, aqueous antibacterial cleaning solution formulated for use on horses and dogs. It is designed to be applied to superficial cuts, abrasions, and insect stings, helping to relieve irritation and support wound healing. The solution is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and provides a residual antibacterial effect for up to 2 days after application. Its efficacy is not diminished by blood, pus, or soaps, making it reliable in various wound care situations.

To use, rinse the affected skin area with the solution, then wipe away excess and pat dry with a sterile gauze or sponge. For dilution, mix 1 oz (2 tablespoons) of Chlorhexidine Solution per gallon of clean water. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and do not use in ears. Store at controlled room temperature with the container tightly closed when not in use.
