Dosage is based on your cat’s body weight: cats and kittens 4 lbs and under should receive half a tablet, those between 5 and 11 lbs should receive one tablet, and cats over 11 lbs should receive one and a half tablets. Durvet Feline Tape Tabs can be given directly by mouth or crumbled into food for easier administration. There is no need to fast your cat before or after giving the medication. It is important to control fleas and rodents in your cat’s environment to prevent reinfection, as these are common sources of tapeworms. The product is not intended for kittens under 6 weeks of age. Occasional mild side effects such as salivation or diarrhea may occur; if these persist, consult your veterinarian. Always store the product at or below 25°C (77°F) and keep it out of reach of children.
