GE Big Gaps & Cracks Yellow Foam Insulating Sealant is formulated to expand and seal larger gaps and cracks, providing a reliable barrier against drafts, moisture, and pests. This polyurethane-based foam is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, with a pale yellow color for easy identification during application. It is ideal for filling voids in foundations, crawl spaces, baseboards, and around HVAC or plumbing, helping to maintain energy efficiency and prevent mold and mildew growth. For optimal results, apply between 41°F and 86°F with the can stored upright before use. The foam becomes tack-free in 7–10 minutes and cures within 24 hours; exposed foam should be covered to protect against UV degradation. Clean up uncured residue with acetone and always wear protective gear during application. This sealant is not rated as a fire-stopping material and should not be used in fire-rated assemblies. Its strong adhesion and effective blocking of air and water make it a suitable choice for construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects where gaps and cracks larger than 1 inch need a long-lasting solution.
