The GE Gaps & Cracks Insulating Foam Sealant 12 oz is a ready-to-use polyurethane foam designed to quickly and permanently seal small gaps and cracks up to 1 inch. This high-yield foam expands to take the shape of voids, creating an airtight, water-resistant seal that helps block out drafts, moisture, and pests, resulting in reduced energy costs. With a high R-5 insulating value and excellent adhesion to most building materials, this foam is perfect for insulating around electrical outlets, pipes, ducts, and foundation cracks in basements or crawl spaces.

To prevent foam from expanding too much and making a mess, fill the gap only about one-third of the way; the foam will expand to fill the rest of the space. Be aware that the small, straw-dispensing cans are generally a single-use product, as the material will cure inside the straw and valve after just a few hours. To avoid waste, plan to use the entire can in one session. Always wear safety goggles and gloves, as cured foam is extremely difficult to remove from skin and clothing.
