The Hillman Small Bright Brass Versa Ceiling Hooks are specifically designed to safely hang heavier items while adding a clean, finished look to your overhead space. Holding one of these, you immediately notice the substantial steel core and the smooth, bright brass plating. This hook performs by using a secure screw-in base and a deep hook curve, providing a reliable anchor point that prevents items from accidentally slipping off. Its primary benefit is providing strong, dependable overhead support for medium-weight chandeliers, hanging plants, or decorative items up to 75 lb, all while offering the traditional, polished look of brass.

To achieve the full 75 lb load rating, you must screw this hook directly into a solid wood ceiling joist or beam; drywall alone will not support the weight and is extremely dangerous. Before starting, use a pencil to mark the exact center point on the ceiling, and then drill a small pilot hole that is slightly smaller than the hook’s threaded shaft to make screwing it in much easier and to prevent splitting the wood. Always use a level to confirm the hook is entering the ceiling perpendicularly.
