Always use a masonry drill bit of the same diameter as the anchor to pre-drill your hole and make sure it is at least a half-inch deeper than the anchor’s length. This will leave room for dust and debris. After drilling the hole, be sure to clean it out thoroughly with a brush or air pump before installing the anchor. This will ensure the anchor can expand fully and provide the strongest grip possible.
