It is suitable for a variety of roof surfaces including shingles, built-up roofs, SBS modified roofs, and metal roofs. For best results, it should be applied with a trowel, embedding reinforcing fabric between layers to create a durable, long-lasting repair.

Leak Stopper Black Rubberized Roof Patch should be applied only on clean, dry surfaces free of rust and debris. It is not recommended for use on plastic, EPDM, Hypalon, or other synthetic rubber roofing systems without prior testing. After spreading the first layer and embedding reinforcing fabric, a second layer should be applied atop the fabric for optimal strength. The patch is weather-resistant and designed for year-round use, offering excellent flexibility to accommodate roof movement. Cure time is approximately 4–8 hours to set, with full curing in 24–48 hours depending on conditions. Mineral spirits are recommended for cleanup.
