The M-D Building Products Brown Rubber Weatherstrip Tape 3/8”x17’ is the highest quality solution for sealing medium-sized gaps around doors and windows. Made from premium EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) cellular rubber, this weatherstrip remains flexible across an extreme temperature range (from -40°F to 140°F), ensuring a tight seal year-round. This self-adhesive tape effectively seals out drafts, dust, noise, and moisture, immediately improving your home’s energy efficiency. The 17-foot length is generally enough to seal one entire door or two average-sized windows.

Before installing any self-adhesive weatherstripping, always prepare the surface thoroughly. The surface must be perfectly clean and dry—clean the application area with rubbing alcohol and let it air dry before applying the tape. Once you place the strip, press it firmly along its entire length. This is crucial; if the adhesive doesn’t bond properly, the temperature changes and movement will cause the strip to peel off prematurely, compromising the seal.
