The Make 2 Fit Gray Vinyl Screen Spline 0.16”x25’ is the essential component for repairing and securing fiberglass or aluminum screen mesh into window and door frames. This spline is made of top-quality vinyl with a subtle gray color that blends well with most standard aluminum frames. At 0.16 inch (or 5/32 inch) in diameter, it is sized for common channel widths. The round, serrated design and hollow core allow it to be easily compressed and rolled into the screen frame channel, ensuring a tight grip on the mesh that resists slipping and pulling out.

Before buying this spline, you must first measure the diameter of the old spline or the width of the empty channel in your screen frame; selecting a spline that is slightly too wide (about 0.010 to 0.015 inches wider than the channel opening) ensures the tightest fit. You will need a screen rolling tool to install this product properly. Roll the spline into the channel over the mesh using the convex (rounded) edge of the roller, not the sharp edge, to prevent cutting the new screen material.
