PastureGard HL Herbicide is an effective post-emergent herbicide designed for the control of woody plants and broadleaf weeds in rangelands and pastures. Manufactured by Corteva Agriscience, this emulsifiable concentrate contains two active ingredients: triclopyr (45.07%) and fluroxypyr (15.56%). It is particularly useful for managing invasive trees and brush, making it a valuable tool for land managers and agricultural settings.

Key Features of Pasturegard HL Herbicide

The formulation allows for selective control of hard-to-manage species such as blackberry, rose, and sericea lespedeza.
It is rainfast within a few hours after application.
PastureGard HL can be mixed with other herbicides for enhanced effectiveness.
Suitable for use on permanent grass pastures, conservation reserve program (CRP) acres, and non-crop areas.

For spot treatments, apply 0.18 ounces of PastureGard HL per gallon of water per 1,000 square feet. For broadcast treatments, use 1 pint of PastureGard HL per 100 gallons of water per acre. The herbicide can treat up to 4 acres when using an average application rate of 2 pints per acre. It is important to apply when weeds are actively growing and not under drought stress. Symptoms may appear within a few days, with complete plant death occurring over several weeks. Always follow label instructions for specific application rates and safety precautions to ensure effective use while minimizing environmental impact.
