This low-impedance energizer is essential for ranchers managing large acreage or areas with heavy weed growth, as its powerful output (typically 12 to 13 Joules) ensures the charge reaches the end of the line, even under heavy load. Powered by a standard 110V household plug, this unit is rated to control up to 200 miles of wire or 600 acres of fence, making it the workhorse for controlling cattle, horses, pigs, and deterring deer.

Given the high power of this energizer, a proper grounding system is absolutely critical to achieving its maximum potential output. You should use a minimum of four to six ground rods, each six feet tall, spaced at least 10 feet apart, and linked together with heavy-duty galvanized wire. If your fence is still weak after installation, adding more ground rods is often the most effective solution.
