To achieve the most reliable bond, you should ensure the threads are completely free of oil, grease, and old adhesive by cleaning them with a dedicated parts cleaner or brake cleaner before application. You should apply a few drops of the red liquid directly onto the bolt at the nut engagement area. There is no need to coat the entire length of the bolt. Because this is a high-strength permanent locker, you should be aware that disassembly will likely require localized heating with a torch to approximately 500°F (260°C) to soften the adhesive before the bolt can be turned with hand tools. It is a good practice to avoid using this on plastic fasteners, as it is only intended for metal-to-metal contact where the absence of air triggers the curing process.
