Preparation is the most important step for a successful repair; use a razor blade to carefully scrape away all old adhesive from both the glass and the metal bracket before cleaning the surfaces with the provided activator. Marking the outside of the windshield with a piece of tape or a grease pencil will help you find the exact original position of the mirror once you move inside. When applying the adhesive, a single drop is usually sufficient, as over-applying can actually weaken the bond. Hold the metal button firmly in place for at least one minute without moving it, and wait at least thirty minutes before sliding the actual mirror onto the bracket to allow the chemical bond to fully cure.
