When using this fine silica sand as a sweep-in joint sand for your brick or flagstone pavers, make sure the pavers are completely dry before application. Moisture will clump the fine grains and prevent them from settling deep into the joints, leaving you with gaps. For the best result and maximum joint filling, use a soft push broom to work the sand deep into the crevices and vibrate the area lightly with a plate compactor (or tap a paver on the surface) before giving the area a final pass with the broom.
