To get the full holding power, you must use a dedicated cable swaging tool that applies the correct, even pressure. Make sure to crimp the ferrule two to three times, rotating the sleeve between each crimp, and always leave a small portion of the ferrule un-crimped at the ends. that’s how you know you’ve done it correctly.
