To ensure a permanent bond, you should spend the majority of your time on surface preparation by using the included sanding sponge to scuff the entire bed and removing all dust with a solvent-based cleaner like mineral spirits. You should strictly follow the burst-pouch instructions, rolling the pouch from the activator side toward the base side until the middle seal breaks, and then massaging the pouch thoroughly to guarantee a uniform mix. Once mixed, you have a “pot life” of about 3 to 4 hours, so you should begin application immediately, starting with the corners and hard-to-reach areas using the dabbing motion of the brush. It is a good practice to wait 24 to 48 hours for light use and a full 4 days before loading heavy equipment to allow the epoxy to reach its maximum hardness.
