To keep the M-Tronic system functioning correctly, the saw should be allowed to run at full throttle for at least thirty seconds after the first start of the day to let the microprocessor calibrate to the current environment. Regularly flipping the guide bar will ensure the rails wear evenly and prevent the saw from drifting during a horizontal felling cut. The sprocket nose on the bar should also be inspected for smooth rotation to prevent the chain from binding and causing unnecessary strain on the engine.
