When installing this gauge, always apply a small amount of thread sealant or PTFE tape to the 1/8 inch NPT threads to ensure a leak-free connection. Be careful to apply the sealant only to the threads and not over the opening of the inlet, as debris can clog the internal Bourdon tube and cause inaccurate readings. Because this is a back-mount gauge, it is best suited for panel mounting or for use on the end of a manifold. Always ensure that the maximum pressure of your system does not exceed the 200 PSI limit of the gauge, as over-pressurization can permanently deform the internal sensing element and ruin the calibration.
