Weasler AB4 Series PTO Driveline is a high-quality, continuous-duty shaft engineered for efficient power transfer on mid-sized equipment like rotary cutters. This AB4 series shaft is highly reliable, featuring a 1-3/8 inch, 6-spline quick disconnect yoke for the tractor end, the universal standard for 540 RPM operation. With a 42 inch compressed overall length, it is sized for common implements such as five or six-foot cutters. The metric profile telescoping design and quality universal joints ensure smooth power delivery and minimal wear, rated for up to 36 HP at 540 RPM. When installing this driveline, it is essential to shorten the shaft to prevent it from bottoming out when the implement is in its shortest operating position, which can destroy the U-joints or your tractor’s PTO gearbox. Measure the distance between the two shafts (tractor and implement) at the shortest point, then cut the PTO shaft tubes 6 inches shorter than this measurement. Always verify that the implement end uses a shear pin, and only use the appropriate grade 2 shear bolt to ensure the shaft breaks before the implement’s gearbox is damaged.
