To achieve the best possible bond, you should sand the repair area down to the bare surface using a coarse 80-grit sandpaper to ensure the filler has a clean, rough texture to grab onto. You should mix only a small amount of filler at a time, using a golf-ball-sized dollop of resin to a 1-inch ribbon of the included red hardener, as the material begins to set in roughly three to five minutes. Use a plastic spreader and a firm, wiping motion to press the filler into the damage to eliminate any trapped air bubbles that could cause pinholes.
