To maximize the effectiveness of Power Lube on heavily rusted fasteners, spray the area generously and allow the lubricant to soak for several minutes before attempting to turn the bolt. For electrical applications, such as cleaning out a damp distributor cap or protecting battery terminals, ensure the equipment is powered off before spraying. This product is also an excellent choice for winterizing tools and equipment; a light coating on seasonal metal items will prevent surface rust from forming during storage in humid garages or sheds. Avoid using this petroleum-based spray on natural rubber components, as it can cause the material to swell or degrade over time.
