Because this additive is exceptionally thick, it is best to let the bottle sit in a warm spot or even in a bucket of warm water before pouring to help it flow more easily down the dipstick tube. If your transmission fluid level is already at the “Full” mark, you should use a small suction pump to remove about twenty-four ounces of old fluid first so you do not overfill the system. Please keep in mind that while this works wonders for gear-driven systems, it should never be used in belt-driven Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT) as the friction requirements are entirely different.
