This finish is a perfect 50/50 blend of dark tung oil and natural pine oil solvent, eliminating the need for separate thinning. It delivers a rich, dark matte finish that enhances the wood’s grain and character. This food-contact safe formula is water-resistant, flexible, and ideal for butcher blocks, countertops, wood floors, or unfinished furniture where an organic, easy-to-maintain finish is desired.

As with all oil-based finishes, remember that rags, steel wool, or any waste material soaked with this product may spontaneously combust if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place all oily rags in a sealed, water-filled metal container or hang them outside to dry completely, separated from each other. Although pre-thinned, dense hardwoods like maple or cherry may benefit from a very light initial application, applied with a rag, to ensure the deepest penetration. Full water resistance develops after 7 to 10 days, with a full cure typically taking 30 days.
