To achieve a permanent bond, you should use a wax and grease remover to thoroughly clean both the back of the emblem and the vehicle surface before applying the adhesive. You should apply a thin, even bead to the trim piece and wait about one minute for the adhesive to become tacky before pressing it firmly into place. If any excess adhesive squeezes out, you can carefully wipe it away with a clean cloth dampened with a small amount of mineral spirits before it fully hardens. It is a good practice to use a few strips of painter’s tape to hold the emblem in its exact position for the first hour of curing to ensure it does not shift while the chemical bond stabilizes.
