To achieve the strongest possible bond, use a coarse-grit sandpaper to scuff the surfaces you are joining, as this gives the epoxy a “mechanical tooth” to grab onto. After mixing the two parts on a clean piece of cardboard, apply the paste within five to ten minutes before it starts to thicken and lose its ability to wet out the surface.
