When spraying, hold the can approximately 12 to 16 inches from the surface and apply two thin, even coats rather than one heavy layer to prevent sagging. It is important to avoid spraying this coating on moving parts, such as brake components, drive shafts, or the exhaust system, as the high heat from the exhaust can cause the rubberized material to smoke or melt.
