When using these nail-on glides, you must pre-drill a pilot hole into the center of the wooden leg before tapping the nail in. For a 7/8 inch glide, use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the nail shaft to prevent the wood from splitting and ensure the nail drives in straight. Once installed, the plastic base should sit flush against the bottom of the leg, giving you smooth, silent movement.
